Het paviljoen (EN)

The Nieuwe of Littéraire Sociëteit De Witte ('De Witte'), founded in 1782, is a private club which has enjoyed a prominent position in The Hague’s social life for more than two centuries. 'De Witte' has been housed in a monumental building on the Plein, next to the famous Mauritshuis and the Binnenhof, since 25th October 1870. Club life has taken place in our summer residence, Paviljoen De Witte in Scheveningen, during the summer months since 1918, where De Witte members can enjoy the Dutch summer. The Paviljoen is exclusively open to De Witte members from Monday to Friday during the months of June, July and August.

A monumental building by the sea

There is also the option to exclusively reserve the Paviljoen during all June, July & August weekends, as well as the weekends throughout the entire period from September to May. The Paviljoen can offer a multitude of possibilities and is suitable for weddings, meetings, drinks, condolences and many more occasions. A unique location with beautiful sea views, monumental rooms, a large terrace and private parking. Paviljoen De Witte boasts close working relationships with 3 caterers and, depending on your exact requirements, we’ll put you in touch with the caterer who can interpret your wishes most effectively. The interplay of the beautiful building, unique location and excellent caterers will absolutely guarantee an unforgettable event in Scheveningen. We look forward to receiving your request!
